Seanscéal Conservation is a small studio, specialising in the preservation of historic objects. We conserve and care for antiques, artworks, heirlooms, and other artefacts. Through specialised cleaning, repair, and restoration, Seanscéal Conservation can assist in properly looking after your treasured possessions. Consulting with us will: identify the damage and risk to an object; assess the extent of work required; and help you to find the best option for preserving your objects.

We also provide services for those with larger collections or inventories. Maintaining a collection means knowing where it all is, what state it’s in, and how accessible objects are. Seanscéal Conservation can work with you to understand your collection, identifying risks and responses in storage and display. Experienced with both museum stores and private collections, we conduct condition surveys, detailed condition assessments, and cataloguing projects. We also offer services to improve storage and display conditions, including environment and pest management, archival packing, and mount-making.
